Get a Fresh Set of Eyes on Your Creative Work

You have been looking at the same draft, painting, room design, photograph, model, or project for so long that you can no longer tell what is wrong with it. You only know that something feels off.

Overview

AI can act as a fresh set of eyes when you are too close to your own work.
It can help identify where attention gets lost, what feels inconsistent, which part may be unfinished, or whether the real problem is that the project is trying to do too many things at once.

What to Tell AI

Share the work itself when possible, what you intended it to do, what currently bothers you, which parts you still like, and what kind of feedback would actually help.

Try Something Like

“Here is a photo of a watercolor painting I have been working on. Something about it feels flat, but I cannot tell whether the problem is the color, contrast, composition, or something else. Tell me what may be causing that impression before suggesting changes.”

Example Conversation

You:

I have rewritten this opening five times and it still feels flat. I do not want you to rewrite it yet. Tell me what is not working.

AI:

The information is clear, but the paragraph begins with explanation instead of movement. What feeling do you want the reader to have in the first few lines?

You:

Uneasy curiosity.

AI:

Then the current version may be resolving too much too early. The strongest detail is buried in the third sentence. Bringing that forward could create the tension you want without changing the whole scene.

Helpful Variations

Tell Me Where You Lose Interest

“Read this as a first-time viewer and mark the point where your attention starts to drift.”

Compare Intention and Result

“This is what I wanted the piece to feel like. Tell me where the current version supports that and where it does not.”

Protect the Good Parts

“Before suggesting changes, tell me which parts are already working and should probably remain.”

Ask Me Questions First

“Do not assume what I was trying to make. Ask me enough questions to understand the project before reviewing it.”

Next Steps

Once AI understands the project, ask it to:

  • Identify the strongest existing element
  • Point out where the work becomes unclear or inconsistent
  • Separate taste differences from structural problems
  • Suggest the smallest useful revision
  • Compare two possible directions
  • Explain why a change might help
  • Review the next version without pretending every issue is solved
