Overview
Two qualified people can examine the same subject and reach different conclusions. Sometimes they are using different evidence. Sometimes they define the question differently, value different outcomes, or disagree about how much uncertainty is acceptable.
AI can place the positions side by side, identify the real point of conflict, show where they agree, and explain what evidence would strengthen or weaken each view.
The goal is not artificial balance. Some claims are much better supported than others. The useful question is why the disagreement exists and how much of it is reasonable.
What to Tell AI
Give AI the competing claims and ask it to trace the disagreement.
Try Something Like
Share the articles, quotations, names, links, or summaries involved; the field and question being debated; what you already understand; and whether you want the disagreement explained historically, scientifically, economically, ethically, or practically.
Example Conversation
One nutrition expert says eating breakfast helps with weight control, while another says meal timing matters far less than total calories. Explain why they disagree without pretending both claims are equally strong.
They may be answering different versions of the question.
The breakfast argument often relies on behavior: some people who eat breakfast feel less hungry later and make steadier food choices. The total-calorie argument focuses on energy balance: breakfast itself does not cause weight loss if it raises daily intake.
So the strongest combined reading is not “breakfast always works” or “breakfast never matters.” Total intake drives weight change, while breakfast may help some people manage that intake. The effect depends on the person’s appetite and habits.
