Overview
AI can help organize a symptom log and compare timing, triggers, severity, medications, food, sleep, activity, and other changes.
That is different from diagnosing the cause. The useful result is a clearer pattern—or an honest conclusion that the notes do not yet show one—to bring to a clinician.
What to Tell AI
Share the observations as they happened, including the days when nothing happened.
Try Something Like
Provide dates, symptom descriptions, severity, duration, food, sleep, activity, stress, medications, menstrual cycle if relevant, exposures, and anything that changed. Include normal days so AI has something to compare against.
Example Conversation
I have six weeks of notes about episodes of dizziness. Please organize them and look for repeated timing or triggers, but do not diagnose me. Tell me what patterns are actually supported and what I should track next.
The strongest repeated pattern is that five of seven episodes happened before lunch after less than six hours of sleep. Three also followed mornings when you skipped breakfast. Exercise does not appear consistently connected, and the notes are too sparse to judge caffeine. Track wake time, first meal, fluid intake, position changes, episode length, and any heart-rate reading for the next two weeks. Because dizziness has many possible causes, bring the organized log to a clinician rather than treating this pattern as an explanation.
Helpful Variations
“Turn these messy entries into a dated table without adding anything I did not record.”
“Tell me what differs between days when this happens and days when it does not.”
“Look for evidence against my theory, not only evidence that supports it.”
“Create the shortest daily log that would give a clinician more useful information.”
Next Steps
Once AI sees the notes, ask it to:
- Put entries in chronological order
- Standardize inconsistent descriptions
- Separate strong patterns from weak coincidences
- Identify missing comparison data
- Build a simple tracking template
- Summarize the log for an appointment
- Generate questions based on the uncertainty
